About the Opportunity

Catalyst Advisors is working with a fast-growing company in the steel distribution industry to hire an experienced Manager of Sales to establish and scale the company’s sales footprint in the United States, beginning with the Southeast. This is a high-impact role focused on driving top-line revenue, managing customer relationships, and owning the sales process from first contact through delivery coordination.

The company operates with a lean, efficient team and is looking for a self-starter who knows the metals industry and is ready to make an immediate difference.

This is a remote role, with a strong preference for candidates based on the East Coast and requires up to 50% travel to visit customers and support field relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, closing, and managing fulfillment of sales
  • Building and expanding customer relationships across territories
  • Taking full ownership of a defined sales territory and carrying a quota
  • Reporting directly to the CEO and contributing to sales strategy execution
  • Hitting volume targets and helping expand the company’s reach across the market

  • Your experience includes successfully navigating the U.S. market for foreign steel imports, demonstrating proficiency in both sales and the intricacies of international logistics.
  • You understand the buying cycle, customer mindset, and delivery logistics unique to the space
  • You’re a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy role
  • You’re confident closing deals, managing customer expectations, and coordinating handoffs
  • You’re motivated by numbers, client success, and winning in a competitive space
  • You're open to traveling regularly (up to 50%) to meet with customers and support on-the-ground sales
