ABOUT THE POSITION

As the Manager of Sales, you will be responsible for driving new recurring revenue growth based on the sale of subscription-based digital marketing services. You will work closely with a growing team of Sales Advisors and report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This is a fully remote position, but must be located in the United States.

We’re looking for an experienced Manager of Sales who is an excellent communicator, service-obsessed, proactive problem solver, and tech-savvy. As Manager of Sales, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, performance, and development of BrightFire’s sales team. Managing a team of three Sales Advisors, you will ensure sales goals are achieved through strong coaching, performance collaboration, and process improvement/consistency. You should also be able to provide insights on client interactions and feedback to help support future product and service improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the COO to develop and execute the overall company sales strategy.
  • Lead a weekly sales meeting to keep the sales team up-to-date on company initiatives, discuss questions, and iteratively improve sales processes.
  • Manage outbound sales initiatives and balance bandwidth with inbound leads/deals.
  • Continually learn and coach Sales Advisors on best practices for consultative selling.
  • Effectively build, prioritize, and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Demonstrate a consultative approach to sales and the ability to coach Sales Advisors to successfully engage clients on services and features.
  • Consistently identify new sales opportunities and actively close deals with new and existing clients.
  • Continuously improve sales processes and KPIs to accurately forecast and deliver on pipeline creation.
  • Drive consistent execution of the sales playbook, from outreach and discovery to presentation and deal close.
  • Support and assist Sales Advisors with all aspects of the sales process, including client presentations, negotiations, and deal closing.
  • Work closely with the COO to identify and champion sales initiatives targeting existing customers.
  • Assign new incoming deals to Sales Advisors based on bandwidth, past interactions with our sales team, and account history for existing customers.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, call coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Work with the COO to determine the number of leads needed to meet monthly sales goals.
  • Work with the COO to update rolling 12-month sales forecasts.
  • Work closely with the Director of Customer Success when customers' questions during onboarding relate to their sales experience.
  • Work closely with the Manager of Strategic Partnerships on sales opportunities initiated through new and existing partnership channels.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of BrightFire services, industry trends, and the overall competitive landscape in insurance digital marketing.
  • Help identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to optimize sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Some travel may be required for industry trade shows.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years in sales management.
  • SaaS sales experience.
  • Proven track record of managing and coaching a team of salespeople.
  • Experience with administration of CRM, marketing, and sales systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple manner.
  • An analytical and process-oriented mindset with attention to detail and a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM (such as HubSpot) to manage sales cycles and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Experience analyzing sales data, marketing data, and user interactions to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Experience with online scheduling and meeting tools.
