Job summary

Silvus Technologies seeks a Manager of FP&A reporting to the FP&A Director in West Los Angeles, CA. The role is hybrid with a minimum of three days onsite per week and requires independent judgment on financial planning, resource allocation, and strategic support for senior leadership.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in finance, strong analytic modeling, and leadership experience; MBA preferred and CFA/CPA/CMA credentials are a plus. Must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in a finance role building analytic models and preparing written reports.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong GAAP knowledge.
• U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident); background check and drug test clearance.
• Experience with Google Apps Script, Power Query, SQL, Python, Alteryx, or related data tools; Oracle accounting, budgeting, and forecasting tools.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development and execution of budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with strategic priorities.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze financial performance and variances to identify risks and opportunities and recommend action.
• Reporting Automation & Development: Design and enhance financial reporting systems and automation.
• Operational Finance: Manage OpEx, CapEx, and Headcount tracking to meet targets.
• Executive Reporting: Prepare MB R and concise performance summaries for senior leadership.
• Team Leadership: Direct, prioritize, and oversee the finance team, including hiring and performance reviews.
• Perform other related duties as representative of the role.

The successful individual exercises independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance, including financial planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision support for senior leadership. The position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days onsite per week.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development and execution of the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, making recommendations that influence financial plans, resource allocation, and strategic priorities.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze financial performance and variances to identify risks and opportunities; recommend corrective action to finance leadership.
• Reporting Automation & Development: Design and enhance financial reporting systems and tools to improve decision-making, determining methodologies and prioritizing automation initiatives.
• Operational Finance: Manage OpEx, CapEx, and Headcount tracking to ensure organizational alignment with financial targets.
• Executive Reporting: Develop and deliver the preparation of various executive presentations, such as Monthly Business Review (MBR), and produce clear, concise performance summaries for senior leadership.
• Team Leadership: Direct, prioritize, and oversee the work of a team of finance professionals, including assigning work, reviewing output, and contributing to hiring, performance evaluation, and development.
• Perform other related duties as representative of the role.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in a finance role, specifically in building analytic models and preparing written reports.
• Leadership: 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident). All employment is contingent upon background check and drug test clearance.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience with Google Apps Script, Power Query, SQL, Python, Alteryx, or related data preparation tools.
• Experience with Oracle accounting, budgeting, and forecasting tools.
• Relevant certification such as a CFA, CPA, or CMA.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Office environment. Lift up to 20 lbs.

Compensation

$135,000 – $175,000 annually.
