Job summary

Sila Nanotechnologies, Inc. is seeking an FP&A Business Partner to provide financial leadership and partner with multiple business units at the Alameda campus. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic financial planning with a proactive, data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of FP&A experience with strong financial operations knowledge.
• Proven ability to develop and implement financial models and present insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial systems (SAGE X3) is a plus.
• CPA or MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proactively partner with business units and stakeholders to understand financial needs and build strong relationships.
• Provide financial expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, translating data into actionable insights.
• Contribute to financial strategy development and implementation aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and implement data visualization for effective communication of financial information.
• Drive annual budgeting and ongoing reforecasting processes.
• Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Assist in building and maintaining the Strategic Financial Model.
• Own and ensure the smooth operation of key financial systems (including SAGE X3, inventory management, etc.).
• Lead the implementation and integration of new financial systems, collaborating with relevant teams.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes for efficiency and automation.

Who You Are

The FP&A Business Partner plays a critical role in providing financial leadership and support to our business units. This role combines strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial planning and analysis, and a proactive approach to business partnering. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in driving strategic decision-making through financial insights.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Proactively partner with business units and key stakeholders to understand their financial needs and build strong relationships.
• Provide financial expertise and support in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Contribute to financial strategy development and implementation aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and implement data visualization for effective communication of financial information.
• Drive annual budgeting and ongoing reforecasting processes.
• Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in an FP&A role, with a strong understanding of financial operations and processes.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing financial models, conducting analysis, and presenting financial information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., SAGE X3) is a plus.
• CPA or MBA is a plus.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• This role is onsite at the Alameda campus.
• Ability to move long distances between buildings and remain stationary for extended periods.
• Operate standard office equipment, including computers and laptops.

The starting base pay for this role is between $136,000 and $172,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
