Job summary

Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated Manager of Environmental Services (EVS) to lead the housekeeping department across independent living and assisted living facilities. The role directs daily operations, maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

You will manage staffing, scheduling, training, budgeting input, and policy development to keep facilities welcoming, safe, and well-maintained for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• May be required to remain on duty during emergencies or disasters.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor, preferably in a health-related facility.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of housekeeping staff.
• Upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professional conduct.
• Oversees cleaning of living areas, offices, public areas, and exterior areas.
• Provides input into Environmental Services budgets.
• Oversees event setup for functions and meetings.
• Assists in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures to keep premises clean, orderly, and attractive.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with personnel to plan and maintain housekeeping and laundry programs.
• Ensures the facility is clean and safe through quality assurance inspections.
• Schedules personnel and work assignments within budgetary guidelines.
• Assists in staffing decisions, evaluations, wage adjustments, hiring, terminations, and transfers.
• Schedules and trains all new housekeeping staff members.
• Requisitions, controls, and maintains adequate supplies.
• Follows all applicable laws and company policies.

Position Summary

Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Manager of Environmental Services (EVS) to join our team. The Manager of Environmental Services (EVS) directs the overall operation of the housekeeping department serving the independent living, assisted living facility and/or other facilities within the organization in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local requirements. The Manager of EVS ensures the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is always maintained.

Key Contributions

• Manages the day-to-day operations of housekeeping staff.
• Upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professional conduct.
• Manages the daily activities of the housekeeping department, including the proper cleaning of all living areas, offices, public areas, and exterior areas.
• Provides input into the operational and capital budgets for Environmental Services.
• Oversees event set up for various functions and meetings.
• Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures to ensure that the premises, equipment, and facilities remain clean, orderly, and attractive at all times.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with personnel and other departments to ensure housekeeping and laundry programs are properly planned and maintained to meet the needs of the facility.
• Ensures the facility is maintained in a clean and safe manner for residents’ comfort and convenience through quality assurance inspections.
• Schedules personnel and work assignments within established budgetary guidelines.
• Assists in determining departmental staffing, completes employee performance evaluations, and makes recommendations regarding wage adjustments, hiring, terminations, and transfers.
• Schedules and trains all new housekeeping staff members.
• Requisitions, controls, and maintains adequate levels of supplies.
• Complies with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
• During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience as a housekeeping supervisor required, preferably in a health-related facility.
