Job summary

Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated Manager of Environmental Services (EVS) to lead the housekeeping department across independent living and assisted living facilities. The role directs daily operations, maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

You will manage staffing, scheduling, training, budgeting input, and policy development to keep facilities welcoming, safe, and well-maintained for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• May be required to remain on duty during emergencies or disasters.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience as a housekeeping supervisor, preferably in a health-related facility.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of housekeeping staff.
• Upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professional conduct.
• Oversees cleaning of living areas, offices, public areas, and exterior areas.
• Provides input into Environmental Services budgets.
• Oversees event setup for functions and meetings.
• Assists in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures to keep premises clean, orderly, and attractive.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with personnel to plan and maintain housekeeping and laundry programs.
• Ensures the facility is clean and safe through quality assurance inspections.
• Schedules personnel and work assignments within budgetary guidelines.
• Assists in staffing decisions, evaluations, wage adjustments, hiring, terminations, and transfers.
• Schedules and trains all new housekeeping staff members.
• Requisitions, controls, and maintains adequate supplies.
• Follows all applicable laws and company policies.
