Career Land Center, Inc. is recruiting a Manager of Emergency Services for its Gainesville, FL facility. The role oversees the ED operations, staffing, and throughput, directing a 55 FTE team including nurse coordinators, to ensure high-quality patient care and safety standards.

The incumbent will manage admissions/discharges, schedule staff by competency and acuity, and monitor care delivery against benchmarks, reporting to the Director of Emergency Services.

Qualifications

• Recent acute emergency services leadership experience required — 2-3+ years in leadership roles (Assistant Nurse Manager/Supervisor/Manager level preferred).
• Strong, recent acute care emergency services clinical experience required (3-5+ years).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and/or active compact license.
• BLS required.
• PALS required.
• ACLS/Trauma Nursing Core Course/Neonatal Resuscitation Program/Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred.

Career Land Center is hiring on behalf of a healthcare organization in Gainesville, FL for a Manager of Emergency Services.

The Role This manager oversees daily operations and staffing for an emergency department with 32 main ER beds plus an 11-bed Care Path area, seeing approximately 130 patients per day. Reporting to a Director of Emergency Services, this role leads a team of 55 FTEs, including 4 clinical nurse coordinators functioning in a capacity similar to assistant nurse managers. Responsibilities include operationalizing evidence-based nursing practice to drive clinical quality and patient safety outcomes, managing admissions and discharge throughput, ensuring staff are assigned according to clinical competency and patient acuity, monitoring nursing care delivery against established standards, overseeing staff scheduling, and managing operating expenses including supply and equipment utilization.

What We're Looking For

• Recent acute emergency services leadership experience required — ideally 2-3+ years of recent, consistent leadership experience; Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Manager-level background preferred, though Charge Nurse experience will be considered
• Strong, recent acute care emergency services clinical experience required (3-5+ years)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current RN license in the state of practice and/or active compact license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course or PALS required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred

Schedule: Day shift with rotating weekends; as a leadership role, availability to support evening, night, and weekend coverage as needed is expected.
