Fairview Range, part of Fairview Health Services, seeks an experienced Manager of Emergency Services (RN) to lead the Emergency Department in Hibbing, MN. The role oversees 24/7 nursing care delivery, HR, operations, finances, and quality improvement.

As a Level IV trauma center with an adjacent Urgent Care, the manager will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, develop education programs, and maintain clinical competencies while fostering collaboration across the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or willingness to pursue within two years.
• Graduate from a professional school of nursing with RN license.
• 3 years critical care nursing experience, with leadership exposure.
• RN license in Minnesota; completion of ICS 100/200/700/800 is expected or planned.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS/TNCC certifications within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 nursing care delivery, HR, operations, finances, and quality improvement for ED and Urgent Care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and provide staff education and competency development.
• Lead staff coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary actions when appropriate.
• Foster teamwork and maintain current department policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams delivering patient care in ED and Urgent Care.

Job Overview

Fairview Range is looking for an experienced Manager of Emergency Services (RN) to lead our Emergency Department in Hibbing, MN!

The Manager will oversee twenty-four hour per day management responsibility and accountability for nursing care delivery, human resources, operation, financial, and quality improvement for the Emergency Department and Urgent Care. The Manager will ensure both quality and regulatory compliance takes place; educational opportunities are provided as well as maintaining clinical competencies of staff; and oversee financial management. They will serve as a leader and role model to all staff.

Schedule: This is a full time, exempt position.

We are a Level IV trauma center and an Acute Stroke Ready hospital. As a rural hospital, we make a difference in our community every day by providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day, with an adjacent Urgent Care department seeing lower acuity patients 13 hours per day, 7 days per week. • 17 ER beds including 2 standalone trauma bays
• Multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies.
• Care delivery team: Board Certified/Eligible ED physicians and advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, Unit Assistants, dedicated Social Worker, dedicated Security Officer
• Telemedicine includes Telestroke and Telepsych
• Patient population: all ages

As the Manager of Emergency Services, you will:

• Establish and maintain current policies and procedures for the department.
• Foster a collaborative and positive working relationship with the interdisciplinary team members delivering patient care in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or demonstrates willingness to pursue degree within two (2) years
• Graduate from a professional school of nursing
• 3 years critical care nursing experience, at least 2 of which is in a formal or informal leadership role
• MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications or demonstrates willingness to achieve within 180 Days
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) within 180 Days
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Association) within 180 Days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association) within 180 Days
• TNCC certification within 180 Days
• Certification in Nursing Specialty within 1 year

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing
• 3 years direct patient care experience in emergency nursing
• 3 years formal management/leadership experience

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
