CyberCoders is seeking a Manager of Construction Field Services to lead field operations across multiple construction sites, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence. You will manage inspectors and crews, support client relationships, and implement QA/QC and risk mitigation in horizontal and public works projects.

The role requires strong leadership, schedule control (Primavera P6), and document management (Procore).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
  • 8+ years of progressive construction experience with field supervision on heavy civil/public works projects.
  • Experience managing field personnel and inspectors; strong QA/QC knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations across multiple sites, coordinating crews, inspectors, subcontractors, and equipment to deliver on time and budget.
  • Mentor and evaluate field personnel; set performance expectations and enforce safety standards.
  • Serve as on-site client liaison; communicate progress and maintain client relationships.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure contract compliance and safety regulations.
  • Develop project schedules using Primavera P6 and coordinate with planners to address critical paths.
  • Administer document systems (Procore) including submittals, RFIs, changes, daily reports, and as-built docs.
  • Coordinate civil design and field implementation; review Civil 3D models for constructability.
  • Identify and manage project risks; implement mitigation and escalate issues as needed.
  • Monitor on-site health, safety, and environmental standards per OSHA and client programs.
  • Support estimating and cost control by tracking labor, materials, and productivity.

Manager of Construction Field Services
Position Overview

Manager of Construction Field Services leads and coordinates field operations across multiple construction projects to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to contract quality standards. This role manages field personnel and inspectors, supports client relationships, oversees document control and scheduling, and implements risk mitigation and quality assurance processes for horizontal and public works construction programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day field operations for multiple construction sites, coordinating crews, inspectors, subcontractors, and equipment to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate field personnel and inspectors; set performance expectations, provide training, and enforce safety and quality standards.
  • Serve as primary on-site client liaison for construction field services; communicate progress, address client concerns, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Oversee and enforce quality assurance/quality control processes to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, using Primavera P6 (or equivalent) and collaborate with planners to update critical paths and mitigate delays.
  • Administer document management systems (Procore or equivalent) including submittals, RFI tracking, change orders, daily reports, and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate civil design and field implementation, reviewing Civil 3D models and design intent to ensure constructability and field alignment.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks; implement mitigation strategies and elevate issues to senior management as needed.
  • Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and client-specific safety programs.
  • Support estimating and cost control by tracking labor, materials, and equipment productivity; provide input on change orders and claims.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and project controls teams on horizontal construction projects and public works initiatives to integrate field feedback into project execution.
  • Use scheduling and project controls tools to produce regular progress reports, forecast resource needs, and support executive reporting.
Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of progressive construction experience with at least 4 years in a field management or supervisory role on heavy civil, horizontal, or public works projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction management and construction field operations, including managing inspectors and field personnel.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D for plan review and constructability coordination.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 for scheduling and project controls.
  • Experience with Procore or equivalent construction document management and collaboration platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, QA/QC processes, and construction safety regulations (OSHA).
  • Proven client management and communication skills, with experience resolving field issues and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Experience in risk management, claims avoidance, and schedule mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with public works contracting, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hybrid role with 50% of time in the field and 50% working remotely.
