Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking an LPN nursing supervisor for the Chandler community. This full-time role covers Sunday through Thursday shifts, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, staff supervision, and dementia-focused resident care.

You will perform health assessments, develop care plans, coordinate with physicians, and support admission processes within a multidisciplinary team; occasional weekend duties as Manager-On-Duty may apply. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is required.
• Management experience in dementia care is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• 1–2 years of management experience in dementia care preferred.
• Experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet state requirements.

Schedule: Full-Time. Sunday - Thursday.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members.
• Implementing resident-centered dementia care.
• Provide nursing care to residents, including but not limited to: Completion of health assessments and resident care plans, discussing changes in resident condition with physicians, introduce interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs, etc. Also provide medication administration and help with resident care, as needed
• In conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team, coordinate the resident admission process including screening, assessment and care planning.

This position may occasionally fill in on the weekend as a Manager-On-Duty.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• Candidates may be considered with caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred.
• A strong background in patient care assessment, assessing resident behavioral symptoms and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs.
• Has experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.
