Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC is seeking a Manager, Memory Care to lead the Resident Care team. This full-time role includes nursing care, health assessments, care plans, and medication administration, with occasional weekend duties as Manager-On-Duty.

Requires an active LPN or RN license, management experience in dementia care, and a Bachelor’s degree (Nursing or related field) preferred; state requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license required.
• Caregiver certifications may be considered with management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred.
• 1–2 years of dementia care management experience preferred.
• Strong skills in patient assessments, behavioral symptoms, and non-pharmacologic approaches.
• Experience in community or long-term care settings.
• Must meet all state requirements.

Responsibilities

Schedule: FT, Sunday - Thursday, 9a - 5p

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and staffing of team members
• Provide nursing care to residents, including but not limited to: completion of health assessments and resident care plans, discussing changes in resident condition with physicians, introduce interventions to reduce falls based on individual resident needs, etc. Also, provide medication administration and help with resident care, as needed.
• In conjunction with the community’s multidisciplinary team, coordinate the resident admission process including screening, assessment, and care planning.

This position may occasionally fill in on the weekend as a Manager-On-Duty.

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) orRegistered Nurse (RN) required
• Candidates may be considered with caregiver certifications beneficial to the community plus management experience
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or Gerontology preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience in directing/providing dementia care for seniors preferred
• A strong background in patient care assessment, assessing resident behavioral symptoms, and developing non-pharmacologic approaches to meeting resident needs
• Has experience in community or long-term care settings
• Must meet all state requirements
