Job description

  • Manage resident, fellowship, and student program objectives
  • Supervise and oversee program support staff and two or more office staff
  • Monitor staff time, performance appraisals, office operations, workflow, and employee coaching/counseling/discipline
  • Monitor spending and develop trends to keep the office within budget
  • Assemble educational research and project plans and teamwork assignments
  • Direct and monitor daily work efforts, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and upscale issues
  • Oversee relationships with GMEC, ACGME, Program Coordinator, BJH, and School of Medicine
  • Manage accreditation information and troubleshoot as needed
  • Analyze resident and fellow quarterly duty-hour violations and ACGME data
  • Review and approve educational programs and policy changes with the Program Director
  • Support education-related committees and task forces
  • Manage process improvement and quality assurance initiatives
  • Manage program software and unify system data warehousing
  • Create statistical and demographic reports
  • Lead and report on training initiatives and ensure users are competent in relevant software
  • Oversee tools compiling resident performance and rotation data
  • Import/export demographic information for new and archived users annually
  • Design, build, and manage anonymous surveys for accreditation compliance
  • Oversee the Education Office Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Project List
  • Assist with and supervise website maintenance and social media monitoring
  • Provide backup support to residency/fellowship coordinators for program compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and hospital policies
  • Ability to successfully investigate, develop and/or implement solutions for ongoing regulatory demands
  • Advanced understanding of statistical analysis and related software suites
  • Supervisory management experience
  • Statistical analysis and statistical analysis software (SAS) knowledge
  • No specific certification/professional license required
  • Driver’s license not required
