Job Description

The Manager of Medical Economics oversees team activities and personnel, providing technical expertise and managing relationships with operational leaders. Responsibilities include maintaining work plans, staff performance, and career development, along with managing trend reporting for the Marketplace (ACA Coverage) Team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage daily Marketplace trend analytics work stream.
2. Collaborate with the Marketplace team to identify emerging trends and savings opportunities.
3. Distribute workload for new reporting and projects.
4. Mentor and coach staff, review work products for accuracy and clarity.
5. Ensure best practices in formatting, documentation, and summarization of findings.
6. Work with business owners to track performance indicators.
7. Represent Medical Economics in cross-departmental meetings.
8. Serve as liaison for reporting needs and ad hoc requests.
9. Manage quarterly trend and performance review presentations.

The role requires maintaining positive interactions with Marketplace and Medical Economics personnel.

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of management or team leadership experience.
• 10+ years in medical economics or healthcare data environment.
• Proficiency in SQL, data manipulation, and advanced Excel functions.
• Ability to create data visualizations for leadership.
• Experience in presenting results, leading meetings, and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Education and Skills

• Experience with ACA or Commercial health insurance products.
• Knowledge of PowerPivot, Databricks, PowerBI.
