Job Description

As a First Line Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will hold a dual-role position, managing a team of engineers and contributing to program work. You will be a leader, motivator, and influencer, capable of growing your team while advancing your own career in engineering leadership.

Essential Functions

• Apply domain expertise on programs, ensuring quality and best practices.
• Manage resources, including labor planning and hiring activities.
• Administer employee performance, provide feedback, and support career development.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related, with 9+ years of experience, or Master's with 7+ years, or 13+ years of experience without a degree.
• Experience with CAD software, mechanical design, and aerospace materials.
• Proven leadership in fast-paced engineering environments.
• Ability to obtain a US Security clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in aerospace, defense, avionics, or cryogenics systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and root cause analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
