Job summary

SharkNinja in Needham, MA seeks a Manager, Mechanical Design - NPD to lead the front end of the Motorized roadmap. You will drive ideation with engineering and cross-functional teams across the US, UK, and China, building POC rigs and reporting findings to guide development.

Bring 6–10 years in mechanical/product design, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/Creo), and a passion for consumer goods to a role that balances innovation with practical buildability.

Qualifications

• Degree-level technical qualification in mechanical engineering, product design, or industrial design.
• Typically 6–10 years of proven experience in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or industrial design.
• Consumer goods / household appliance experience desirable.
• Experience with plastic, casting, and sheet metal manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with IP teams to track prior art and identify novel or inventive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the front end of the Motorized roadmap.
• Use ideation and innovation techniques to unlock and drive the roadmap with cross-functional teams.
• Build POC rigs to prove hypotheses and manage prototype building and lab testing.
• Develop and report findings with clear next steps.
• Sketch, CAD layouts, 3D models and prototypes to evaluate solutions.
• Run studies to solve technical and consumer problems with user experience in mind.
• Collaborate with AD and CI teams to align front-end sensibilities with development.
