Position Purpose:Manages the meat cutters, wrappers and packers to ensure efficient and effective meat processing while meeting work order specifications and customer preferences. Also, responsible for meeting all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards and maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Primary Responsibilities:- Supervise associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, payroll processing and performance management and problem resolution.
- Manages, compiles and distributes all statistical reports, i.e. net yield, usage, capital expenditure requests, etc. Manages pricing process for all products. Buying and Rotation of product.
- Review work schedule and oversee the perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
- Assist meat cutters, wrappers, packers and sanitizers, as needed.
- At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork and reports.
- Coordinate team's efforts to ensure efficient and effective meat cutting, wrapping and packing process.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Required Experience: 4 - 6 Years in meat operations including meat cutting, wrapping and packaging with team lead or supervisory experience.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred Education: Bachelors
Preferred Experience: 6 - 10 Years meat operations with supervisory experience.
