Job summary

Wolfspeed in Durham, NC, seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead an on-site manufacturing team on a 12-hour night shift (2on-2off-3on). You will train and support staff, drive production goals, and ensure safety on the floor.

Ideal candidates have associate degree or higher and 1–2+ years in a leadership role within manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor environments.

• Associate degree or higher in related field.
• 1–2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience or 3–5 years in a frontline supervisor role.
• Passion to inspire and develop employees in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Here’s the Gist:

You will lead an operations team at Wolfspeed’s Durham Manufacturing Site in North Carolina. The Operations Supervisor oversees each aspect of the production process; trains and supports staff and provides vital information on production goals. Your leadership will set the tone for the team’s success. Finally, Safety for your team and product are a vital responsibility.

This position will work a 12-hour night shift with a "2on-2off-3on" alternating schedule. Schedule will be Blue Nights 7:00pm-7:05am

The Day-to-Day:

• Maintain a safe working environment for all employees

• Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the floor

• Monitor team and individual performance. Evaluate and improve productivity, equipment utilization and overall efficiency

• Support 5S activities across the entire floor

• Establish and communicate production priorities. Track performance and adjust priorities accordingly

• Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts

• Provide team with constructive and timely feedback. Enforce company and local policies and procedures.

• Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

• Associate degree or higher in related field

• Manufacturing experience with 1-2+ years in a leadership role, preferred manufacturing experience as a front-line supervisor (3-5 years) or relevant military experience

• Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a dynamic, fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.

• Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently – Fast paced work environment
