General Description / Purpose

The Manager of Logistics & Warehousing will support domestic and international logistics activities to ensure the successful, compliant delivery of machines and parts globally, meeting customer-specific requirements. They will oversee documentation, customs compliance, and logistics functions, ensuring they are executed professionally, timely, and proficiently. Additionally, the role involves supporting warehouse operations and developing inventory strategies.

Job Functions

1. Transportation Management
2. Execute timely delivery of goods and documents, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communication.
3. Serve as liaison between internal customers and external logistics providers, providing quotes, arranging freight, and communicating protocols.
4. Monitor and communicate shipment status for all machine movements and customer orders.
5. Ensure on-time delivery throughout the logistics process.
6. Utilize appropriate shipping methods to maximize service and minimize costs.
7. Problem solving related to logistics and carrier issues.
8. Assist in developing new supply chains and process improvements.
9. Provide logistics support for manufacturing builds.

1. International Logistics
2. Handle shipment documentation and import/export compliance.
3. Manage customs registration and ongoing compliance.
4. Liaise with international freight forwarders.

1. Administrative Tasks
2. Maintain accurate records related to international trade.
3. Approve freight bills and ensure compliance with trade regulations.
4. Manage HSN codes and generate NPR POs.

1. Managing and Measuring Work
2. Coordinate traffic management activities and machine deliveries.
3. Participate in proposal development and transport planning.
4. Develop and publish logistics procedures.
5. Investigate shipment complaints and coordinate with customer service.

4. Create metrics to evaluate warehouse and logistics performance.

Functional & Technical Skills

Identify process improvements, evaluate transportation strategies, and work cross-functionally with sourcing, procurement, and project teams.

Manage material inward/outward activities using IFS system and coordinate outbound shipments.

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, finance, or related field

Experience: 12+ years in material and logistics management, compliance, supply chain, with supervisory experience
