Job description

This role will be responsible for driving logistics organizational excellence in terms of trade compliance, managing logbooks, optimizing worldwide shipping and freight activities, ensuring freight cost transparency, and maintaining compliance with contracted routings, global policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement logistics networks for new customers and evolving manufacturing footprints.
• Optimize regional and inter-regional material flows.
• Manage logbooks across multiple sites to ensure compliance.
• Improve logistics management processes.
• Develop regional strategies to secure required space capacity for all modes related to customer pick-up and routed orders.
• Create and execute an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) cost reduction roadmap.
• Audit adherence to contracted routings using freight payment data and proactively identify lanes not under contract or competitively bid.
• Expand utilization of digital freight marketplaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics management, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of experience in global logistics.
• 5+ years of experience managing logbooks and trade compliance.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end global material flows.
• Success in identifying and implementing logistics cost reduction initiatives.
• Experience with SAP ECC6, preferably also with S4 Hana and GTS.
