Job summary

Abrazo Scottsdale Campus seeks a results-driven Laboratory Clinical Manager to lead multi-department operations, supervise staff, and uphold high quality patient care. This role directs day-to-day lab activities, enforces policies, and mentors personnel while ensuring regulatory compliance and staffing strategies.

Responsibilities include budget oversight, equipment maintenance, staff development, and oversight of accreditation-related tasks to maintain excellence in the clinical laboratory.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field.
• Experience: Three years as a Technologist, Supervisory and/or Lead.
• Licensure/Certifications: Licensed by NCA, ASCP, HEW/HHS or AMT in all clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Manages day to day operations and oversees multi-department operations.
• Directs, trains and evaluates staff; enforces policies and standards.
• Ensures budgetary or fiscal accountability and supply management.

Job Summary

Single or multi-department management of operations. Manages day to day operations. Directs, supervises, orients/trains and evaluates staff. Enforces policies, procedures and standards of operation. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability. The Laboratory Clinical Manager performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of all areas of the clinical laboratory as well as instructing and mentoring other personnel. They also perform with perceptive depth clinical laboratory tests and procedures requiring the expertise of independent judgment and responsibility. They assure the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times and ensure smooth operation of the department. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, maintaining staffing, meets applicable regulatory standards, approves supply orders and department strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Manages the collection of specimens, oversees the testing procedures.
• Maintains laboratory equipment with maintenance logs to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Ensures that quality initiatives are established and maintained within all areas of department. Identifies quality failures as they occur.
• Develops and delivers laboratory training programs for staff.
• Evaluates new procedures, equipment and products for use in the lab.
• Hires, fires, trains, evaluates performance and supervises staff to provide professional, courteous and timely services.
• Maintains and manages CAP survey testing and maintains documentation for accreditation.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or related field, or equivalent minimum experience requirements.
    • Qualified to perform highly complex testing per CLIA 88 personnel guidelines.
  • Experience: Three years experience as a Technologist, Supervisory and/or Lead experience.
  • Licensure/Certifications: Licensed by NCA, ASCP, HEW/HHS or AMT in all clinical areas.
• Preferred Requirements
  • Experience: Management experience with two years supervisory.
