Manager, Investment HR & Finance
The Johns Hopkins University, a leading institution in teaching, research, and patient care, is seeking a Manager, Investment HR & Finance for its Investment Office, reporting to the Managing Director, Investment Operations. The office manages over $9 billion in endowments and assets for the university, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and related entities.
Responsibilities
The role involves managing finance, budgeting, and human resources functions within the Investment Office. Key duties include budget development and maintenance, financial analysis and reporting, and providing HR support such as recruitment, payroll, benefits, and policy interpretation. The position reports directly to the Managing Director, Investment Operations.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the investment office budget.
- Generate financial reports and analyze operating costs and portfolio expenses.
- Conduct budget vs. actual analysis.
- Manage vendor contracts, invoices, and expense approvals.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including SAP submissions.
- Prepare compensation reports and bonus calculations.
- Review and update career progression frameworks.
- Draft award and bonus letters.
- Maintain personnel records and develop financial narratives and reports.
- Manage SAP roles, access rights, and related requests.
- Liaise with JHU HR and shared services.
- Compile annual compensation survey data.
- Update organizational and seating charts.
- Utilize MS Office, Visio, and Excel; ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Five years of progressive experience in administration or finance.
- Master’s Degree may substitute for experience as per JHU policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in university administrative and financial management.
- Knowledge of JHU SAP systems.
This is a full-time, hybrid position located at JH at Keswick, with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Salary range: $62,900 - $110,100, depending on experience.
