Job Family Group: Wealth Sales & Service

Mandarin and/or Cantonese verbal and written skills required.

Understands customer needs and provides wealth and investment-related sales and service to BMO customers or prospects. Advises customers on wealth and investment strategies and products that meet customer’s objectives. Fulfills sales and service activities for the customer in accordance with approved procedures. Identifies and makes referrals to other business groups as needed.

  1. Make outbound calls to customers and proactively seek opportunities to enhance customer experience by providing suitable investment products.
  2. Stay updated on consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations.
  3. Provide professional sales and service for customer inquiries, issues, and requests.
  4. Understand customer needs and advise on investment options tailored to them.
  5. Achieve sales targets focusing on relevant investment products.
  6. Manage transactional outcomes or refer to appropriate internal teams.
  7. Escalate complex customer issues to senior management as needed.
  8. Accurately document customer interactions to ensure proper processing of requests.
  9. Maintain knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends, and incorporate this into customer conversations professionally.
  10. Incorporate marketing promotions and programs into customer interactions where appropriate.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
  12. Report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
  13. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including AML, FCAC, and Privacy Act provisions.
  14. Handle complex tasks within given rules and resolve escalations from other employees.
  15. Analyze issues and determine next steps.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Knowledge of market trends and product offerings.
  4. Knowledge of BMO Investment / BMO InvestorLine products and services.
  5. Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or equivalent; IIROC licensed as an Investment Representative.
  6. Understanding of risk management and compliance.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Good organizational, collaboration, and analytical skills.

Salary: $37,500.00 - $69,500.00

Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications, and may include commissions. Part-time salaries are pro-rated. The listed salary is the target for the first year for commission roles.
