This role sets regional inventory processes and standards and partners with Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Customer Service, and Administration.Essential FunctionsLead SAP training and competency standards for warehouse and inventory teamsOwn aged inventory targets for branches and the region, and drive reduction plans with branch leadershipOversee and approve returns to vendors and RTV purchase orders, up to established authority limitPartner with Finance to resolve claim invoice, receiving, quantity, and cost discrepancies, and lead root-cause prevention.Serve as the regional escalation point for warehouse and purchasing issues.Maintain stock lists/settings.Ensure cost accuracy and data integrity for material setup and system transfers.Set aged-material liquidation strategy and pricing guidelines for branch-level sales.Analyze regional inventory reports (aged inventory, cycle count progress, not-picked orders) and present findings and recommendations to leadership.Partner with Purchasing to set and maintain Purchasing Cockpit data standards.Establish, audit, and enforce warehouse and purchasing best-practice procedures.Design and manage the regional cycle count program, including frequency and variance thresholds.Lead resolution of system inventory discrepancies, directing team members on corrections.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and cost.Other duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceRequiredAssociates / 2 year Technical School4+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operationsPreferred2+ years supervisory experienceSAP ExperienceBilingual experience preferred, but not required (English/Spanish)Skills & CompetenciesAbility to lead, develop, and hold a team accountable for resultsAbility to analyze inventory data and present recommendations to leadership.Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates and co-workersCommunicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional and courteous mannerProactively identify, analyze, address, and resolve problem areas, conflicts, and issuesDisplays willingness to make decisionsExhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in decision-making process, and makes timely decisionsStrong organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production processWorking knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word process software and order processing systemsIf you like working with a growing close knit team and helping home owners design the home of their dreams, come build your career with us!All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, individual with disabilities, veteran status, gender identity or national origin.
