Job summary

Slumberland is seeking a Manager in Training - Sales to build leadership in store operations and drive exceptional customer experiences. You will gain hands-on exposure to staffing, training, and inventory control while learning Slumberland's sales strategies.

The program emphasizes internal promotion and professional development, offering a path to store management across the Midwest region. A supportive, team-oriented environment helps you grow your leadership and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years related experience; or equivalent combination.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• POS systems experience preferred.
• Maintains a safe and insurable driving record for company business.
• Ability to work evenings, required weekends, and holidays.
• Relocatable to multiple Midwest areas.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the sales, operation and administrative functions of a corporate store including staffing, sales management, sales training, back room, inventory control, customer service and more.
• Learn and perform all duties and responsibilities of a Sales Associate in concert with Slumberland sales strategies that demonstrate, by personal example, the desired standards of conduct and work performance achieving personal results.
• Support and learn management responsibilities for all displays, housekeeping, clearance maintenance, and product flow.
• Participate with manager in recruiting, interviewing, selecting and developing store employees. Provide input on associate performance.
• Adheres to safety policies and practices and consistently models safe behaviors and risk reduction procedures.

• Point of Sale (POS) systems experience preferred.
• Maintains a safe and insurable driving record that will allow for driving on company business.
• Ability to work evenings, required weekends, and holidays.
• Relocatable to multiple Mid- West areas.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
