Blattner in Avon, Minnesota, is seeking a leader for project controls to guide schedulers, cost analysts, and specialists within the project management team. This role ensures standardized controls across business units and mentors senior contributors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent education or experience.
• Seven or more years progressive experience in a construction project controls discipline including scheduling, cost, or risk analysis.
• Experience leading senior level contributors.
• Gas Power Generation/heavy industrial experience required.
• Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 software.

• Oversees the assigned project controls team including schedulers, cost analysts, project controls specialists, and third-party consultants; provide support, performance evaluation, mentorship.
• Develop, control, and analyze CPM schedules, cost/budget forecasting, risk analyses, change management.
• Manage workload to ensure reporting deliverables (schedules, forecasts, risk registers, dashboards, s-curves, histograms) are timely.
• Drive strategic analysis of project data; provide concise actionable recommendations to meet objectives.
• Ensure project controls contractual obligations to clients are met; advise on contracts and change management.

Ensures all Blattner project controls processes and deliverables are efficiently executed and delivered to the project team. Is a subject matter expert in the analysis of project data and provides recommendations for improvements to processes to Director - Portfolio and Project Controls and project management teams ensuring controls remain standardized and consistent across all business units.

Is a subject matter expert in the analysis of project data and provides recommendations for improvements to processes to Director - Portfolio and Project Controls and project management teams ensuring controls remain standardized and consistent across all business units.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

• Oversees the assigned project controls team including schedulers, cost analysts, project controls specialists, and third-party consultants in support of project controls team deliverables to Project Management. Provides support, performance evaluation, time approval, recruitment, mentorship to the project controls team.
• Responsible for the development, control, and analysis of Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules, cost/budget forecasting and analysis, cost and schedule risk/range analysis, risk management, and management of change.
• Manages the project schedulers workload to ensure all reporting deliverables including schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers and analyses, dashboards, s-curves, and histograms are delivered in a timely manner.
• Drives management and decision making by regularly conducting a strategic analysis of project data. Provides concise actionable recommendations to the project team to meet project objectives.
• Ensures project controls contractual obligations to Clients are met. May advise project management for the evaluation, creation, and execution of contracts and change management.

What You’ll Need

• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or equivalent education or relevant experience required.
• Seven or more years progressive experience in a construction project controls discipline including project scheduling, project cost, or project risk analysis or a combination of these experiences.
• Previous experience leading senior level individual contributors required.
• Previous Gas Power Generation and/or heavy industrial experience required.
• Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 software.

What Sets You Apart

$133,847.00 - $194,078.00 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
