The Manager – Housekeeping Training develops, implements, and delivers training programs that support departmental service excellence, compliance, and team member development. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, this role manages onboarding workflows, continuous learning initiatives, safety training requirements, and skill growth opportunities that promote a well-prepared and high-performing housekeeping workforce.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
- Conduct new hire orientation and required safety compliance training including HAZCOM, bloodborne pathogens, personal protective equipment, fire prevention, slips/trips/falls prevention, back safety, and appearance standards
- Deliver guest service and challenge-resolution training to enhance the luxury experience and support consistent service recovery practices
- Provide targeted and periodic training to improve performance, ensure compliance, and support professional growth within the department
- Manage the introductory follow-up program (Primo) and leadership onboarding process (Arrivare) for the housekeeping department including documentation and completion tracking
- Support housekeeping operations by fulfilling Floor Manager responsibilities when training coverage is not required or at leadership request
- Maintain training materials, departmental manuals, and SOPs including version control and update distribution
- Partner with management to identify skill gaps, performance concerns, and training solutions that enhance operational consistency
- Plan and organize training schedules, program logistics, and resource allocation ensuring timely program delivery
- Maintain accurate records of training participation and certification compliance for audit readiness
- Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure training supports labor performance and departmental service goals
- Promote a positive learning culture through engagement, communication, and recognition of development achievements
- Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required certification or license
- 2 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably within a 4- or 5-star resort environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong technology utilization skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage team members at all levels
- Strong organization and multitasking skills with ability to deliver training in high-volume operational settings
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness while meeting deadlines and supporting multiple training initiatives concurrently
Physical Requirements
Must be able to:
- Lift or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted as training needs require
- Access guest and back-of-house areas with or without reasonable accommodation
- Walk, stand, bend, stretch, and kneel for extended periods while supporting training delivery and operational support
- Work indoors in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and office equipment
- Interact professionally and effectively with guests, leaders, and team members in active training and operational environments
