Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Manager to lead HIM initiatives in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The role oversees staff training and development, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, and participates in quality improvement programs.

The position requires RHIT or RHIA, an Associate degree in HIM, 5 years in HIM with 3 years in leadership, and experience with coding/billing. Epic EHR experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

5 years’ experience in HIM/medical records. 3 years’ experience in a leadership/management position. Prior experience with coding/billing

Certification:

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) .

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Information Management

Experience:

5-year experience in a leadership/management position. 3 years' experience in ROI (Release of Information) or MPI (Master Patient Information) Role. Epic EHR.
