Job summary

Gogo Business Aviation LLC is seeking a Manager of Global Payroll to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness while partnering with in-country payroll teams and vendors for governance and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has deep global payroll experience, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with finance, HR, and external providers. Remote work is possible within Mountain Time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA, CPP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country payroll.
  • Strong background in accounting, reconciliations, and financial close.
  • Experience with global payroll vendors and systems.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle international payroll across regions (EMEA, APAC, Americas).
  • Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing in compliance with local laws.
  • Coordinate with global payroll vendors and in-country partners.
  • Review inputs (earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, equity) for accuracy.
  • Maintain internal controls and support audits (SOX).
  • Lead system improvements and automation with HRIS/Finance teams.

--- --- --- The Manager, Global Payroll is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timeliness while partnering closely with in-country payroll and vendors to drive consistent governance, process alignment and continuous improvement This role requires strong accounting knowledge to support payroll reconciliations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate has deep experience in global payroll processes, understands multi-country regulations, and collaborates closely with finance, HR, and external providers. **Remote work possible within Mountain Time zone. **

Key Responsibilities:
  • Global Payroll Management
    • Oversee the full-cycle international payroll process across multiple regions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas)
    • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with local laws and regulations
    • Coordinate with global payroll vendors and in-country partners
    • Review payroll inputs (earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, equity, etc.) for accuracy
  • Compliance & Controls
    • Ensure payroll compliance with country-specific tax, labor, and statutory requirements
    • Maintain and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures
    • Support audits (internal and external) related to payroll and SOX compliance
    • Stay updated on global payroll legislation changes and implement necessary updates
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor payroll team members (if applicable)
    • Provide training and guidance on systems, processes, and compliance requirements
    • Manage workload distribution and performance expectations
  • Systems & Process Improvement
    • Maintain and enhance payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP, Oracle)
    • Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and automation
    • Partner with HRIS and Finance Transformation teams on system integrations and upgrades
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Serve as primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries for assigned regions
    • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, and external auditors
    • Support global mobility, stock compensation & RSU’s, and expatriate payroll processes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • CPA, CPP, or equivalent certification preferred
  • 5–8+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country/international payroll
  • Strong background in accounting, reconciliations, and financial close
  • Experience working with global payroll vendors and systems
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a multinational corporation or shared services environment
  • Knowledge of global mobility, expatriate taxation, or equity compensation
  • Experience in payroll transformation or process improvement initiatives
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP GlobalView, SAP)
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, reconciliation analysis)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Business Central)
  • Understanding of SOX controls and audit requirements
Working Conditions
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple time zones

  • Base Pay: 84,000.00 - 105,000.00 USD
  • Annual Target
  • Annual Short-Term Incentive: Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
  • Eligible for Incentive Stock Program: Yes
