USA-GBA Gogo Business Aviation LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, secure, and optimize our global network infrastructure powering mission-critical aviation and government connectivity.   • 5+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Proven expertise with Cisco platforms (ISR/Nexus/NCS/ASR).
  • Strong experience with Cisco IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and NX-OS.
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and PAN-OS.
  • Deep understanding of BGP, MPLS, OSPF, STP, and VXLAN.
  • Experience in large-scale LAN/WAN environments in highly available networks.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking, security, and infrastructure issues.
  • Strong documentation and network design skills using Visio/NetBox/phpIPAM.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise and enclave network infrastructure supporting global operations.
  • Develop and execute network modernization initiatives to improve scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Build and maintain secure private networks supporting worldwide PoPs and government operations.
  • Collaborate with Security, Operations, and Engineering to ensure high availability and redundancy.
  • Create and maintain network architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and plans.
  • Manage large IPAM environments and resource allocation.
  • Research emerging technologies, run proof-of-concepts, and recommend cost-saving solutions.
  • Support infrastructure refreshes, upgrades, and expansion projects.
  • Develop BOMs, manage vendor relationships, and oversee licensing and lifecycle planning.
  • Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual networks across distributed environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform RCA, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide operational support for critical incidents and after-hours maintenance.
  • Implement and maintain network security controls, firewall policies, VPNs, and auth systems.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance and automation.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Senior Network Engineer

Design, secure, and optimize the global network infrastructure that powers mission-critical aviation and government connectivity. At Gogo, we're transforming how people stay connected in the sky. You'll work closely with Technical Operations, Network Engineering, Security, and cross-functional business teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable network solutions that support both commercial and government operations worldwide. What You'll Do
  • Design, implement, and manage enterprise and enclave network infrastructure supporting global and mission-critical operations.
  • Develop and execute network modernization initiatives that improve scalability, performance, reliability, and security across Gogo's global infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain secure private network environments supporting worldwide Points of Presence (PoPs) and specialized government and military operations.
  • Partner with Security, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure high availability, redundancy, and operational excellence across global network environments.
  • Create and maintain detailed network architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and implementation plans.
  • Manage large-scale IP address management (IPAM) environments and network resource allocation.
  • Research emerging technologies, conduct proof-of-concept testing, and recommend solutions that drive operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support infrastructure refreshes, upgrades, and expansion projects aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), manage vendor relationships, and oversee licensing, renewals, and lifecycle planning for network technologies.
  • Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual networking platforms across geographically distributed environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Provide operational support for critical incidents, including participation in after-hours maintenance and emergency response activities.
  • Implement and maintain network security controls, firewall policies, VPN solutions, and authentication systems.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure performance, improve automation, and reduce CAPEX and OPEX expenditures.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing, technical training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Cisco networking platforms, including ISR, Nexus, NCS, and ASR technologies.
  • Strong experience with Cisco operating systems, including IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and NX-OS.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Palo Alto firewalls and PAN-OS environments.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise networking technologies including BGP, MPLS, OSPF, STP, and VXLAN.
  • Experience supporting large-scale LAN/WAN environments in highly available enterprise networks.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking, security, and infrastructure issues.
  • Strong documentation, architecture, and network design skills using tools such as Visio, NetBox, or phpIPAM.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to participate in after‑hours maintenance activities and support critical network events when required.

  • Knowledge of network automation, infrastructure modernization, and cloud connectivity solutions.
