About the Team & Business Line:

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.

As a core member of our Private Assets team, you will work with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Qualifications

  • You have a university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a professional accounting designation (CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA).
  • 4+ years’ experience managing a team of Fund Accountants, Senior Fund Accountants, and Supervisors.
  • 3-5 years of fund accounting experience in Private Equity Funds, Private Equity Fund Administration, or similar financial institutions, with financial products knowledge.
  • Knowledge of US/Canadian GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting.
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Proven managerial experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with FIS Investran PE platform is highly desirable.

Salary Range: USD $120,000 to USD $169,000.

Your Role:

  • Lead and manage the team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee periodical Net Asset Value calculations for Private Equity Funds, including financial statement preparation, trial balance review, and partner/shareholder allocations.
  • Review fund-specific expenses, including admin fees, management fees, carried interest, and other fees.
  • Review accounting work, capital events, client deliverables, investor statements, and reporting prepared by staff.
  • Ensure documentation compliance with internal and external/regulatory standards.
  • Review private equity fund partnership agreements, PPMs, and other materials.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy, ensuring all client SLAs are met.
  • Liaise with Investor Relations, Waterfall, Tax, Financial Reporting, and other teams globally.
  • Act as a primary contact with clients regarding Fund Accounting services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to client queries.
  • Coordinate with external parties and manage external audits.
  • Provide technical accounting and industry knowledge to clients as needed.
  • Work closely with the Client Integration team, including onboarding and conversions.
  • Manage and support team members, providing direction, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify training needs and organize development programs.
  • Foster a proactive problem-solving culture.
  • Implement efficiency initiatives promptly.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as required.
