Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Behavioral Health Spencer in Spencer, OK is seeking a Day Shift, full-time Manager Food Services to oversee hospital kitchen operations.

You will plan, supervise, and optimize food production, inventory, staff training, and budgets to meet regulatory standards and patient needs within the Metro hospital.

Qualifications

• 3 years culinary, institution and/or restaurant food preparation and management experience in a similar size environment.
• Equivalent experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree or graduate of a culinary institute/school
• Experience with computerized food service management systems and PC software including Excel

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, coordinates, and supervises the operation of the kitchen to provide the highest quality cost effective foods on a consistent basis
• Oversees inventory, purchasing, and disbursement of all food and related supplies and conducts weekly physical inventory
• Provides and monitors training, education and development of employees within area of responsibility to include orientation, job training and personal development
• Monitors industry trends and recommends appropriate action(s) to take in order to maintain competitive status and profitability
• Develops short and long range goals for the food service area supporting Integrated Service and strategic goals of INTEGRIS Health Metro
• Assists in planning and development of departmental operating and capital budgets and monitors payroll and non-payroll expenditures for Food Service
• Ensures a safe environment and on-going compliance of all services with JCAHO, Federal, State, local, and other regulatory agencies

Responsibilities

The Manager Food Services plans, organizes, coordinates and directs provision of high quality, cost effective food preparation and kitchen operations of a Metro hospital that meet or exceed the market, community, patient, and hospital expectations while maintaining JCAHO, regulatory, and budget requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with computerized food service management systems in the provision of food production services, as well as various PC software applications including Excel
• 3 years culinary, institution and/or restaurant food preparation and management experience in a similar size environment
• Equivalent experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree or graduate of a culinary institute/school

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or related field OR graduate of a culinary institute/school OR equivalent experience

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• SERVSAFE Food Protection Manager Certification within 60 days of hire

Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written). This job requires the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
