Job summary

INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Manager of Caregiver Safety to lead investigation, analysis and improvement efforts for caregiver safety events. You will drive cause analysis, manage safety projects, and develop data-driven reports to inform safety initiatives across the organization.

The role requires strong leadership, risk-management know-how, and collaboration with clinical and non-clinical teams to advance patient and caregiver safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Engineering, Quality Management, Business Management, or Healthcare related field is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Engineering, Business, Healthcare Administration or Clinical Specialty preferred.
• 5 years recent experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Experience in patient or caregiver safety, risk management, quality improvement, professional development, consultation, or leadership in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of quality improvement processes and data analysis preferred.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and manage project timelines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs the investigation, review, analysis, and disposition of caregiver safety events through the event review structure.
• Facilitates cause analysis of actual or near miss events throughout the organization.
• Facilitates projects/project teams designed to improve caregiver safety.
• Aggregates and analyzes data for preparation of regular reports; identifies opportunities to improve patient safety; identifies trends and patterns related to near miss and actual events.
• Participates and contributes to development of caregiver safety program activities (i.e., safety rounds, recognition and reward programs, safety campaigns).
• Provides professional assistance for identification, development and implementation of initiatives that promote safety and quality across the institution.
• Develops and provides education to caregivers, providers, leaders, and other key stakeholders to support the culture of safety.
• Proficient in various software systems such as, Excel, Power Point, Word, EPIC, Visio; able to design and develop necessary safety reports.

Manager Caregiver Safety responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performs the investigation, review, analysis, and disposition of caregiver safety events through the event review structure. Patient records may be reviewed for caregiver safety improvement projects, which may include but not be limited to audits, performance improvement, and work group initiatives.

This position is subject to being called upon, at any time, for response to disaster calls at any facility within the INTEGRIS Health, which may or may not include potential exposures to chemical, biological, and/or radiological agents.
