Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a Food Service Manager to oversee cafeteria and center dining operations at the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA.

You will plan menus, supervise staff, ensure compliance with government directives, and manage budgets while maintaining quality and cost control. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and coordination with other center services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or associate’s degree required.
• Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid food handler's permit required in the state of work or obtainable within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise the administrative and food service activities of the department.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting food services.
• Plan the menu.
• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance.
• Prepare related reports.
• Conduct inspections of food service areas.
• Ensure quality of production and food purchases; maintain cost control; assist in inventory control.

What you will be doing:
