Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the San Diego Job Corps Center in Imperial Beach, CA, delivering quality programs to local youth. This position focuses on planning, coordinating, and directing center-sponsored activities to engage students in healthy, fun extracurriculars.

You will supervise recreation, chaperone events on and off campus, and support career-prep activities to improve student retention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year experience working with youth
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer proficiency
• CDL Class B license preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and coordinate a diversified program that will attract voluntary participation.
• Conduct and coordinate recreation activities and chaperone students to recreation functions both on and off center.
• Conduct activities for career preparation students that enhance student retention.
• Assist with monitoring of the student store and conduct PE classes.
• Plan and conduct various activities to enhance student retention and meet all students' needs.

You'll be responsible for monitoring, planning, and directing students engaged in center sponsored activities both on and off center. Put your fun and creative skills to use to teach healthy and fun extracurricular activities!

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) years experience working with youth required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency
• Valid commercial driver's license (Class B) with an acceptable driving record and passenger endorsement preferred.
