Job summary

Wipfli is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead financial reporting, budgeting, and client advisory within a flexible, remote-capable role across the United States. You will mentor staff, design processes, and collaborate with advisory teams to drive value for physician practices and healthcare clients.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in accounting, a CPA/MBA preferred, and deep knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management and cost allocation across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business required.
  • 4–6 years of experience in public or private accounting.
  • 3+ years of managing associates and/or teams.
  • Regulatory compliance: familiarity with healthcare regulations affecting financial reporting.
  • Professional certification (MBA, CPA) preferred.
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management: experience with billing, coding, and collections in physician practices.
  • Cost allocation experience across departments or specialties.
  • Understanding physician compensation models and impact on financials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Intaact, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, and MS Office.

  • Professional certification (e.g.,MBA, CPA) preferred.
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management: Experience with billing, coding, and collections processes in physician practices.
  • Cost Allocation for Multi-Specialty Practices: Experience in allocating costs and revenues across departments or specialties within a physician group.
  • Understanding of Physician Compensation Models: Knowledge of how physician productivity, incentives, and contractual arrangements impact financial statements.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically, Intaact, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suit and a demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
