Job summary

Wipfli is seeking a senior accounting professional who can work remotely across the US. You will review financial reports, assist with budgeting and cash flow, and provide technical accounting guidance to clients and internal teams.

You will lead and coach staff, collaborate with advisory teams, and identify opportunities to expand services. Strong healthcare revenue cycle knowledge and multi-department cost allocation are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business required.
  • 4–6 years of experience in public or private accounting
  • 3+ years of managing associates and/or teams.
  • Familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations affecting financial reporting.
  • Professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA) preferred.
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management: billing, coding, collections in physician practices.
  • Cost Allocation for Multi-Specialty Practices across departments.
  • Understanding Physician Compensation models and impact on financials.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Intaact, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com and Microsoft Office; openness to new tech.

  • Cost Allocation for Multi-Specialty Practices: Experience in allocating costs and revenues across departments or specialties within a physician group.
  • Understanding of Physician Compensation Models: Knowledge of how physician productivity, incentives, and contractual arrangements impact financial statements.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, specifically, Intaact, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suit and a demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $97,000 to $145,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
