Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel is required. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours. This position is designated as an Administrative and Professional and serves without a fixed term and at the pleasure of the President, pursuant to the University's Handbook of Operation Procedures 5-1230, "Appointment and Term of Appointment for Administrative Professionals."
Under the direction of the Assistant Athletics Director, Finance, this individual will serve as a point-of-contact for financial planning and internal control functions within the Department of Athletics. The Manager will be responsible for the appropriate, accurate and timely treatment of obligations in accordance with the University's Handbook of Business Procedures (HBP) and internal Policies and Procedures governed by the Athletics Department's Leadership Team.
Bachelors degree. Experience in a Business Office setting. Ability to collaborate with staff and provide critical thinking and consultation to achieve positive outcomes. Ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enhance interaction with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community. Professional demeanor. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Masters degree. More than 2 years of experience working in a related field. Experience in a championship quality collegiate environment.
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
