Stanford University is seeking a Manager, Financial Learning Solutions to lead the FinLearning team and transform how the university delivers learning across Financial Management Services. You will design and deliver learning solutions, set standards for courses and evaluations, and guide the ecosystem via an LMS and AI-assisted tools.

Work Arrangement: This is a 100% FTE, benefits-eligible hybrid position. A remote work arrangement may be considered for candidates with the appropriate background and experience, depending on business needs of each unit. Remote workers’ schedules are based in the Pacific Time zone.
Budgeted Salary Range: The expected pay range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 per annum based on the geographical location of the candidate.
Financial Management Services (FMS) is transforming how the Stanford community learns to navigate financial systems, policies, and processes. In direct support of the university's Simplify Stanford initiative, the Financial Learning Solutions (FinLearning) team is building a role-based, technology-enabled learning ecosystem that meets people at the point of need and reduces the friction of administrative work.
We are seeking a Manager, Financial Learning Solutions to lead this team and this transformation. The FinLearning Manager oversees the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions that support the overall FMS curriculum and change management efforts. The manager assesses client needs, establishes the curriculum required to satisfy business and organizational goals, and sets the standards for course development, participant and instructor materials, digital and online performance-support solutions, and learning evaluation. Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Strategy and Client Services, the role directly manages a team of senior learning experience designers, and serves as a thought leader guiding the ecosystem's evolution, powered by a modern learning management system, digital adoption platforms, and AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities
Manage, recruit, coach, develop staff and departmentalbudgets.
Partner with subject matter experts regarding technology-basedlearning projects from conception, through design and production, tocompletion.
Evaluate pedagogy goals with technology tools with emphasis ondesigning and using the appropriate technology for thesituation.
Oversee appropriateness, effectiveness and success ofdepartmental instructional design projects.
Manage key vendor relationships.
Evaluate requests for technology based learning projects andrecommend appropriate learning solutions.
Plan, coordinate and execute projects according to defineddeadlines while maintaining consistency with strategy andgoals.
Develop change management and learning plans.
Provide production and post-production facilities for thedevelopment of learning materials
Share best practices through cross campus collaboration andinstructional design community.
Minimum Education andExperience
Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience orcombination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent management skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop departmental budgets, timelines,goals and schedules.
Demonstrated ability to present new projects and goals to seniormanagement; defend/advocate those projects as needed.
Ability to provide thought leadership in learning system designand development, and its relationship to performanceimprovement.
Demonstrated effectiveness in consulting with subject matterexperts to assess learning needs and recommend high-impact learningsolutions and learning curricula.
Demonstrated proficiency in explaining and applying instructionaldesign theory, models, and best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, learningteam members, vendor partners, and business partners to create alearning environment that is service oriented, supportive, engaging andeffective for adult and nontraditional learners.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learningmaterials.
