Job Description

NBCUniversal is looking for a Manager, Facilities for our Facilities Operations and Engineering team in Universal City, CA. You will work closely with all divisions of West Coast Studio Operations and in close partnership with the Senior Director of Facilities and be responsible for the day-to-day facilities and management functions at the NBC Universal Studio Lot.

What You’ll Do…

  • Lead a team of union trades including Paint, Prop Makers, Labor, Office Maintenance, Metal Shop, Lock Shop, and Hazmat.
  • Collaborate with Office Services, Corporate Services, Service Center, Production Services, Security, Studio Design & Construction, Maintenance Repair Operations, EHS, Emergency Services, and fire prevention teams to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage client requests and projects regularly with the Studio Operations Service Center.
  • Ensure Facilities Incident Report procedures are followed consistently.
  • Develop communication notifications for campus employees with facilities, marketing, and communication teams.
  • Gather vendor costs for capital or non-capital work upon business unit requests.
  • Partner with Studio Design and Construction on internal projects, overseeing scope, bidding, scheduling, budget, and performance.
  • Track and audit KPI reports aligned with business goals.
  • Promote safe work practices across all areas.
  • Assist in defining scope of work for contract services with Senior Director and Sourcing.
  • Implement sustainability programs at the property.
  • Conduct client visits and maintain positive relationships with all contacts.
  • Oversee special requests and support production services as needed.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance programs and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Collaborate with MRO team on continuous improvement strategies for maintenance programs.

  • Data analytics and verification experience for 2+ years.
What Would Make You a Stand-out

  • Over 5 years of experience in Facility Management or similar complex operations.
  • Professional designations such as FMP, RPA, CPM, or LEED.
  • Strong project management expertise.
  • Experience with enterprise IWMS, work scheduling, and materials management.
  • Union environment management experience.
