Job summary

The role partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production leadership to balance hands-on shop floor engagement with strategic leadership, continuous improvement, and team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Progressive manufacturing engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, tooling, and metrics.
• Experience with new product launches, process improvements, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, standard work, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, project management, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team while fostering accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, layouts, standard work, and production flow.
• Support new product launches, engineering changes, and production readiness activities.
• Partner with Engineering and Product Development to ensure design for manufacturability and operational excellence.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues.
• Manage capital equipment, tooling, automation, and process improvement projects.
• Collaborate across departments to align priorities and support business objectives.
• Promote Barletta Safe principles through risk reduction, ergonomic improvements, and safe manufacturing practices.

This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production leadership to ensure products are designed and built with manufacturability, craftsmanship, repeatability, and scalability in mind. The position balances hands‑on shop floor engagement with strategic leadership, continuous improvement, and team development.

• Experience supporting new product launches, process improvements, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, standard work, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication, project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
