Job summary

Barletta Boats is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead a team focused on improving manufacturing processes, production flow, and equipment utilization. This role balances hands-on shop floor leadership with strategic initiatives to ensure manufacturability, quality, and scalability across Barletta's operations.

The role partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, and Supply Chain to drive cost efficiency, safety, and on-time new product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Progressive manufacturing engineering or related experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, tooling, quality systems, and metrics.
• Experience supporting new product launches, process improvements, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, standard work, root cause analysis, and CI methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team while promoting safety and continuous improvement.
• Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, layouts, standard work, and production flow.
• Support new product launches and production readiness activities.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure design for manufacturability and operational excellence.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues.

Position Summary

The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering leads the team responsible for improving manufacturing processes, production flow, equipment utilization, process capability, safety, quality, and new product launch readiness across Barletta's operations.

This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production leadership to ensure products are designed and built with manufacturability, craftsmanship, repeatability, and scalability in mind. The position balances hands-on shop floor engagement with strategic leadership, continuous improvement, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team while fostering accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, layouts, standard work, and production flow.
• Support new product launches, engineering changes, and production readiness activities.
• Partner with Engineering and Product Development to ensure design for manufacturability and operational excellence.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues.
• Manage capital equipment, tooling, automation, and process improvement projects.
• Collaborate across departments to align priorities and support business objectives.
• Promote Barletta Safe principles through risk reduction, ergonomic improvements, and safe manufacturing practices.
