Job Description
The Manager, Employee Relations & Investigations, will investigate Team Member concerns fairly, efficiently, and impartially. The role requires experience in fast-paced, guest-facing environments, with a strong generalist skill set across Union and Non-Union organizations. We seek innovative, collaborative, and culture-driven professionals to support our teams and business objectives.

Essential Functions

  1. Conduct in-depth interviews and investigations, gather and evaluate information, prepare reports, and collaborate with managers on HR issues and disciplinary actions.
  2. Develop and implement standardized investigation processes, track employee relations claims, and maintain detailed records in a centralized system.
  3. Manage casework independently, ensuring timely resolution of investigations.
  4. Analyze case data to identify trends and opportunities for proactive intervention.
  5. Partner in reviewing and updating policies and programs to foster a positive work environment.
  6. Train, coach, and educate team members and managers on HR policies and strategies.
  7. Use sound judgment and creative problem-solving to resolve complex employee relations issues promptly.
  8. Advise management and HR partners on sensitive employee issues, ensuring policy enforcement and fairness.
  9. Participate in Diversity and Inclusion initiatives to promote a welcoming environment.
  10. Collaborate with Legal team to ensure compliance and deliver relevant training.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
  • At least 5 years of HR generalist experience, including employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience in handling complex investigations and working with legal counsel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and handle sensitive issues.

Desired Characteristics

  • Advanced degree in HR or related fields.
  • Proven ability to drive HR processes in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent facilitation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, HRMS systems like SAP and Oracle.
  • Experience in union environments and retail or hospitality industries preferred.
  • Ability to develop solutions from conception to post-implementation review.
  • Flexibility to work occasionally on weekends and holidays.

Additional Requirements

  • This role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and other perks. Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000, bonus eligible.
