White Cap is hiring immediately for a Dispatch Manager in California. The role leads delivery operations, supervising drivers and dispatchers, and coordinating with sales teams to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.

Key responsibilities include overseeing routing, vehicle safety, and fleet maintenance, while driving efficiency and reliability in daily dispatch duties for the branch.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in dispatch or delivery management.
• Experience supervising drivers and dispatchers.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.
• Experience with routing software.

Responsibilities

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated safely.
• Routes drivers effectively to meet delivery commitments.
• Maintains fleet and coordinates with Warehouse.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and handle unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

A Dispatch Manager at White Cap…

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience
• Experience with routing software.
• Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.
