Norton Healthcare is seeking a Manager, Diagnostic Imaging to lead the Imaging Services department in Kentucky. The role governs planning, organizing, delegating and coordinating imaging operations, ensuring quality service and adherence to hospital policies and budgets.

You will work closely with radiologists to deliver services in line with the hospital mission and strategic plans, while supervising staff and maintaining regulatory compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree with 3 years diagnostic imaging experience.
  • Associate degree with 5 years diagnostic imaging experience.
  • Without degree: 7 years of diagnostic imaging experience.
  • RO radiography license and CNMT, ARRT (CT/N/R/VI/CV/CI) or RDMS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and manage the Imaging Services department to ensure quality services.
  • Oversee staff productivity and scheduling; ensure budgets and long-range plans are aligned with hospital goals.
  • Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and relevant regulations; stay current with DNV and state regulations.
  • Coordinate department activities on shifts and manage staff workloads, holidays, and rotations.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Manager, Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating and managing the department of Imaging Services to ensure quality services are provided according to established policies and procedures. Other responsibilities include staff productivity, and the development, interpretation and implementation of budgets and long-range plans for efficient operations and technology. This position will be accountable for the accomplishment of results and the achievement of objectives, consistent with the hospital mission, values and operational and strategic plans and will work closely with the radiologists that provide services to the hospital.

Key Accountabilities
  • Acts on his/her own, makes accurate, timely decisions as appropriate to the successful operation of the department(s) assigned. Demonstrates conscientiousness, assures that self and those under his/her supervision complete tasks and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Resolve human resource-related issues, and accountable for the hiring, counseling, training, disciplinary, termination and salary recommendations made for the department.
  • Oversee performance improvement activities in the department, share ideas about performance improvement and ensure the performance improvement activities are consistent with hospital goals.
  • Keeps abreast of DNV, Kentucky Department of Health, and other related federal and state regulations as well as professional standards. Maintains department in compliance with all Joint Commission and applicable county, state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinates department activities on a shift basis - managing responsibilities as assigned, ensures the completion of work assignments for the imaging technologists and supporting staff by assigning work for staff, scheduling working rotations and maintains holiday and vacation schedules.
Qualifications

Required:

  • With Bachelor Degree, three (3) years of diagnostic imaging experience
  • With Associate's Degree, five (5) years of diagnostic imaging experience
  • Without degree: Seven (7) years of diagnostic imaging experience
  • RO (State Radiography License) AND one of: CNMT, ARRT (CT), ARRT (N), ARRT (R), ARRT (VI), ARRT (CV), ARRT (CI); OR, one of: RDMS, ARRT (MR), ARRT (S) or ARMRIT.
