About This Position

The Manager, Procurement will be responsible for engaging with the supply chain and independently driving EPC and equipment supply contracts, with a strong emphasis on EPC contracts for data center projects. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Procurement and work closely with the Development, Engineering, Construction, Project Finance, and Legal teams. Deep expertise in data center project procurement, including negotiating EPC contracts, managing supplier relationships, and understanding data center-specific construction requirements, is essential for this role.

Overview of Department

The Procurement Team buys major equipment, construction and O&M contracts. We develop and maintain deep partnerships with suppliers and execution partners. Currently a team of seven, we’re looking to add another Manager to our team to help us close EPC contracts for solar, BESS, wind, and data center construction.


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead and manage EPC and equipment supply requests for proposals, with a strong focus on Data Center EPC procurement.
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute EPC contracts for data center projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards, project timelines, and financial goals.
  • Engage and build/maintain relationships with key EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and other critical vendors to support successful project execution.
  • Manage contract amendments and post-contract actions, including claims, performance monitoring, and warranty considerations specific to data center projects.
  • Coordinate with Development, Engineering, Construction, Project Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless execution of Data Center EPC contracts.
  • This role will be primarily focused on Data Center EPC contracts, with secondary involvement in equipment supply agreements.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in EPC procurement for large-scale data center projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with external parties
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively, and concisely summarize complex ideas
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Engineering background preferred
  • Highly proficient in G-Suite, Excel, Slack, and other collaboration tools

Physical and Sensory Requirements
  • Mostly sedentary work; using standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
  • Position requires some travel for conferences, contract negotiations, and company-wide meetups: ~10-12 trips per calendar year.

  • Salary: $140,000-$150,000 USD base salary with 25-30% annual target bonus
