Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Birmingham seeks a CT Manager to lead the CT department, ensuring efficient, safe pediatric imaging and compliance with accreditation standards. You will guide daily operations, mentor staff and make independent decisions to support the hospital's mission.

The role requires 5 years of CT experience with supervisory background, ARRT credentials, and an education in radiology. Schedule is full-time, day shift, 8:30 am–5 pm, focusing on patient safety and ambient-experience

Qualifications

  • 5 years' CT experience with 1 year in supervision.
  • ARRT-credentialed Radiology Technologist with CT specialty.
  • Essential education includes an Associates degree in Radiology; a related Bachelor's may be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day CT operations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain high-quality imaging with focus on pediatric patients.
  • Collaborate with anesthesia and child life for Ambient Experience.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team and manage staffing and scheduling.

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Salary Position M-F 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Summary

The CT Manager is a healthcare professional responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CT department. This role ensures that CT services are delivered efficiently, safely and in compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. The CT Manager performs all duties necessary to work in areas of responsibility with decision making ability to make independent judgments. The CT Manager assures appropriate patient care management and adjusts daily operations to meet the needs of a changing working environment. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined below, expected to demonstrate exemplary leadership, verbal and written skills. To accomplish the overall hospital mission, expected to exhibit integrity, teamwork, innovation, commitment to personal development and commitment to children.

  • Essential: 5 years' work experience in CT; 1 year of supervisory or management experience

Using state-ofthe-art low-dose CT technology, you’ll perform essential scans to assist in diagnosing and treating of a wide range of pediatric conditions. You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on safety, precision, and minimizing radiation exposure for our young patients. The CT suite works closely with the Anesthesia department and child life specialists to provide the Ambient Experience. This helps to reduce patient anxiety.
