Job Summary

Axionova is hiring a Manager of Contracting Operations to lead and scale our field engineering teams. This role involves a blend of leadership, process improvement, and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of field services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading operations teams that excel in streamlining processes, managing large field assignments, and fostering client relationships.

You will report directly to the Director of Operations and work closely with them to optimize workflows, maintain service quality, and support team growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Set Direction for the Field Operations Team
  • Establish the strategic vision for Axionovas field operations, ensuring high service standards.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of 8-10 field engineers, developing skills and monitoring performance.
  • Define and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and oversee adherence to quality standards.
2. Optimize Field Operations Efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to automate field processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Oversee resource allocation to balance workload across multiple tasks and ensure smooth task handoffs.
  • Resolve escalations quickly and effectively to maintain strong client relationships.
3. Enhance Tools and Systems
  • Work with product and operations teams to improve tools that assist with scheduling, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Advocate for system improvements that empower field engineers to self-serve for routine needs, increasing operational productivity.
4. Provide Insight on Field Service Improvements
  • Collect and analyze data from field operations to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Communicate findings and provide actionable feedback to the organization to refine services and enhance customer experience.
5. Drive Team Efficiency and Satisfaction
  • Foster an environment that values efficiency, safety, and innovation while maintaining high standards for customer service.
  • Support team growth and engagement by driving initiatives that build morale and foster a sense of community within the team.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Extensive Experience in Operations Management
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing operations teams, ideally within field service or engineering industries.
  • Process Optimization Focus
  • Strong ability to streamline and enhance processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Attention to Detail and Analytical Thinking
  • Skill in managing complex operations while maintaining high-quality service standards and using data for insights.
  • Empathy and Strong Communication
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client and team relationships through empathy and understanding.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a Related Field
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies, with experience in tools like JIRA
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and environments
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 USD, based on experience, qualifications, and geographic considerations.
