Position Summary

The Manager, Clinical is responsible for strategic oversight and management of client programs, interacting with external groups including patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, insurance providers, and pharmaceutical clients.

Responsibilities
  • Manage direct reports, including clinical supervisors and nursing staff.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Cardinal Health, industry trends, technology, regulations, and how our offerings meet customer needs.
  • Apply program management principles: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing.
  • Monitor performance, recommend adjustments, and connect short-term demands to long-term goals.
  • Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate program status effectively to stakeholders.
  • Balance scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks to ensure program success.
  • Align program objectives with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to contract development and review, ensuring scope and accountability.
  • Negotiate resources with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technologists to integrate models into business decisions.
  • Maintain high client contact within an account management approach.
  • Host regular team and client meetings to discuss updates, process changes, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • RN or advanced nursing degree required.
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience preferred.
  • 5+ years in professional services, healthcare, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience in a Specialty Pharmaceutical HUB environment preferred.
  • Previous management experience, including leading teams of leaders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Understanding healthcare reimbursement and managed care.
  • Excellent planning, budgeting, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel ~35% as needed.

  • Participate in policy development and recommend new practices.
  • Lead or contribute to complex projects.
  • Assess and approve program changes, including IT and business rules.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues.

Work Schedule & Remote Details

Training is from 8:00am-5:00pm CST. Full-time, with flexibility during business hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00am-8:00pm CST). Remote work requires a dedicated, quiet environment with high-speed internet (DSL, Cable, Fiber). Internet must meet specified speed and ping requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $103,500 - $147,900. Bonus eligibility and benefits include health coverage, paid time off, HSA, 401k, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, work-life resources, parental leave, and wellness programs.
