As a member of the Providence St. Joseph Health Clinical Informatics management team, the Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics is responsible in collaboration with the Directors and Medical Informatics for the collaborative implementation, support, and on‑going optimization of clinical informatics, the Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments. In partnership with the GVPs Clinical Nursing Informatics, CI Regional Directors, ministry Nurse Executives and other clinical and physician leaders, the Manager oversees staff performance in informatics initiatives with an emphasis on information technology and services that support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in the areas of practice, clinical applications, clinical/administrative decision‑making, research and quality improvement initiatives, education, and resource management. The role integrates knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts and change management to represent the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients, promoting safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical settings across acute, ambulatory, and post‑acute care settings.
