As a member of the Providence St. Joseph Health Clinical Informatics management team, the Manager, Regional Clinical Informatics is responsible, in collaboration with Directors and Medical Informatics, for collaborative implementation, support, and ongoing optimization of clinical informatics, the Caring Reliably framework, IS strategy, and other organizational commitments. As a partner for clinical transformation and in collaboration with the GVPs Clinical Nursing Informatics, CI Regional Directors, ministry nurse executives and other clinical and physician leaders, the Manager oversees staff performance in informatics initiatives with an emphasis on information technology and services that support nursing and interdisciplinary care partners in areas of practice, clinical applications, clinical/administrative decision‑making, research, quality improvement initiatives, education, and resource management. He/she combines knowledge of patient care, informatics concepts, and change management to effectively represent the information and knowledge needs and requirements of healthcare professionals and patients and to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of information technology in clinical settings. Scope may include acute care, ambulatory care, and post‑acute care settings in designated areas of service. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes a multidisciplinary team concept and reflects the Providence St. Joseph Health mission, vision, values, and philosophy.
